Embleton Cottages
Embleton is a small coastal village in Northumberland that looks out over the North Sea. Set back from the windswept coast, the town is sheltered from strong easterly winds by a whinstone ridge which resembles a caterpillar when viewed from the ocean. The town of Embleton consists of a main street and village shop. One of its main features, the 12th century Holy Trinity Church shows evidence of defensive use and has been described as a Fortified Ecclesiastical site.
